Alternative caloric cooling technology

Based on magneto-, elasto- and electrocaloric materials, we develop efficient heat pumps and cooling systems that operate entirely without refrigerants. Our system concepts enable heat transfer rates that exceed those of traditional heat transfer concepts by orders of magnitude. This approach provides the basis for caloric systems with power density an order of magnitude higher than with conventional concepts.

Concepts for cooling and temperature control for small and medium loads

Our services for innovative thermal management focus on heat dissipation and temperature control solutions for small and medium thermal loads. To this end, we use cooling technologies that we develop according to our customers' individual specifications, e.g. based on Peltier coolers or highly efficient heat pipes. Thermal simulations, structural and thermal characterization of materials, components and systems, thermography and thermal failure analysis complete our range of services.

 

Peltier temperature regulation

Thermoelectric Peltier elements are used as heat pumps for cooling and precise temperature regulation. For our customers we develop, build and characterize specific system solutions – from prototype to implementation.

 

 

Cooling with heat pipes

Heat pipes conduct heat more effectively than any other known material. With their wide range of possible applications, they prove their advantages whenever highly effective, passive and compact heat transfer is required.
