We develop optical systems and imaging methods for production control. These enable the analysis of surfaces and 3D structures during production, as well as the regulation of processes. Our systems are so fast and precise that even the smallest defects or contaminants can be identified at high production speeds. This makes real-time, 100% inspection possible in production and Industry 4.0 environments.

Our Inspect-360° HR enables largely type-independent inspection of small parts, eliminating the need for additional handling. In the sorting system, parts are conveyed individually on a conveyor belt into a hollow sphere where 16 cameras simultaneously inspect them from all directions while in free fall. The parts are illuminated with diffuse light, resulting in shadow- and reflection-free images, even on shiny or oiled surfaces. The parts pass through the measurement volume in any orientation every second — no specific handling is required.

The digital holographic measurement system HoloTop NX enables micrometer-accurate quality control of precision components. Thanks to its compact design, it enables 3D inline measurements directly in multi-axis systems. The sensor can be installed on a number of different platforms. Using multiwavelength digital holography, HoloTop NX maps the topography even of rough object surfaces with interferometric accuracy. The sensor captures an area of 12.5 × 12.5 mm² within 500 ms.

With the F-Scanner family of devices, we offer sensitive measuring systems that detect contamination or defects on surfaces directly in the production line.  By using a combination of imaging fluorescence measurement and laser scanners, the F-Scanners detect organic contamination of just a few milligrams per square meter. The scanning systems enable 100-percent inspection while generating a high-resolution map that reflects the distribution of organic substances on the surface.
