We develop optical systems and imaging methods for production control. These enable the analysis of surfaces and 3D structures during production, as well as the regulation of processes. Our systems are so fast and precise that even the smallest defects or contaminants can be identified at high production speeds. This makes real-time, 100% inspection possible in production and Industry 4.0 environments.

Bring your own parts (maximum size: 15 cm) and test them on-site in free fall using our Inspect 360° HR. The system enables inspection of small parts that is largely independent of part type. The parts to be inspected are examined simultaneously from all directions during free fall using 16 cameras. They are illuminated with diffuse light, ensuring they appear shadow- and reflection-free even with bare or oiled surfaces.

You can also take a close look at our digital holographic measurement system, HoloTop NX, though not in action. It enables quality control with micrometer precision. It is suitable for various carrier systems and, thanks to its compact design, enables 3D in-line measurements directly on multi-axis systems.

With the F-Scanner, Fraunhofer IPM offers a measurement system that detects even the slightest contamination on surfaces directly on the production line and checks the integrity of coatings. At the fair, you will have the opportunity to find out more about our system in a video presentation. Using a combination of fluorescence measurement technology and a laser scanner, the F-Scanner detects organic contaminants as small as a few milligrams per square meter.
