We develop optical systems and imaging methods for production control. Our systems analyze surfaces and 3D structures and control processes during production. They provide fast and accurate measurements, enabling the detection of small defects and impurities even at high production speeds. This makes 100 percent real-time production control possible in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
We use a wide range of methods, including digital holography, infrared reflection spectroscopy, and fluorescence methods combined with fast, low-level image and data processing.
With HoloTop, we offer an optical system for 3D in-line measurements based on digital, multi-wavelength holography. HoloTop sensors provide quick, precise, contactless component measurement while recording the topography of rough surfaces with interferometric precision.
The F-Camera uses imaging technology to detect contaminants or defects in real time and without contact during the production cycle. Using UV light, the system excites undesirable organic substances to fluoresce, detecting residues down to a few milligrams per square meter.
RAPID-LIBS is an ultra-fast spectroscopy module created for integration into existing laser processing systems. Integrated directly into the beam path, RAPID-LIBS measures the radiation of the resulting plasma during laser drilling. This allows each drill hole to be tracked with pulse resolution right in the process.
